UANI Expresses Support for U.S. Strikes in Iraq and Syria

(New York, N.Y.) – United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) Chairman Senator Joseph I. Lieberman and CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace today applauded the Trump administration’s decision to launch airstrikes against Iran-backed Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria:

“We applaud the Trump administration’s decisive action against Iran’s proxy Kata’ib Hezbollah (KH). Iran-backed Shiite militias like KH have had the blood of American soldiers on their hands for years—most recently the death of a U.S. defense contractor just days ago. The U.S. government also estimates Iran was responsible for the deaths of at least 608 U.S. troops in Iraq between 2003-11,” said Lieberman and Wallace.

UANI’s resource, Kata’ib Hezbollah, chronicles the rise of KH, Iran’s assistance to the militia, and its structure. UANI also maintains country reports on Iraq and Syria, which detail Iran’s interference, subversion, and repression throughout the region.
