UANI Applauds U.S. Enforcement Actions on Iran’s Ghost Fleet

UANI First Listed 7/8 of Sanctioned Vessels on Ghost Armada

(New York, NY) – United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) applauds President Trump and his administration for the latest sanctions designations action targeting entities and vessels involved in the illicit transport of Iranian oil and petrochemicals.

Seven of the eight vessels designated by the U.S. Treasury Department had previously been listed on UANI’s Ghost Armada for evasion of American sanctions. These vessels include FLORA (IMO 9133070), HAUNCAYO (IMO 9180164), ILL GAP (IMO 9294305), MAYMEI (IMO 9133082), RCELEBRA (IMO 9286073), THEA (IMO 9298284), and YONGAN OCEAN (IMO 9288758).

Iran relies on a covert fleet of ageing vessels, such as those listed above, to transport its sanctioned oil. This trade, which is the main funding stream for Tehran’s nuclear, missile, and drone programs, demands continued vigilance. UANI commends President Trump and his administration for taking decisive action against these vessels and the broader network enabling Tehran’s sanctions evasion. This action sends a clear message to shipowners, operators, insurers, and facilitators worldwide: participation in Iran’s illicit oil trade carries significant risk.

UANI will continue to identify and expose vessels and entities engaged in sanctions evasion, and we urge continued enforcement efforts to cut off Iran’s oil exports that sustain the regime.
