UANI Analysis on Iran’s Destabilizing Role in Iraq

(New York, NY) – On Tuesday, Iran-backed operatives stormed the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, following U.S. airstrikes on Kata’ib Hezbollah (KH) positions.  This episode is only the latest in a long history of Iraq’s Shiite militias’ targeting of U.S. interests.  As the U.S. government debates its next move, United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) is today releasing reports analyzing Tehran’s playbook in Iraq.

UANI’s resource, Kata’ib Hezbollah, chronicles the rise of KH, Iran’s assistance to the militia, and its structure.  UANI also maintains country reports on Iraq and Syria, which detail Iran’s interference, subversion, and repression throughout the region.  Additionally, UANI’s website offers a compilation of the regime’s state ideology of Anti-Americanism and an analytical report on Iran’s attempts to export its revolutionary dogma to Iraq.
