"Germany has been Iran’s most important Western trading partner despite the international sanctions on Tehran. In 2012, German firms exported goods worth 2.5 billion euros to Iran. In the nine months from January to September this year, the number was 1.3 billion euros. Haaretz has obtained a list of firms from the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Tehran, known as AHK Iran in its German abbreviation. The list discusses 'branches, agencies and representatives of German companies in Iran 2012.' AHK Iran, which is partially funded Germany’s Ministry of Economy and Technology, supports German companies in their dealings with Iran. The list, published at the end of 2012, includes the names and areas of operations of 136 German companies that do business with Iran. One company on the list, Bomafa Armaturen GmbH, is a maker of high-pressure valves and specialty valves for use in power stations and industrial plants. According to an Annual Report filed by POSCO for fiscal year 2012: "We acquired a controlling interest in Sungjin Geotec Co., Ltd. (“Sungjin Geotec”), a manufacturer of specialized equipment used in the power and energy industries in May 2010, and we currently hold a 33.0% interest in the company. In recent years, Sungjin Geotec entered into contracts with various suppliers to supply equipment for the development of natural gas fields in Iran, including natural gas fields located in South Pars that is led by Pars Oil and Gas Company, a subsidiary of National Iranian Oil Company. Sungjin Geotec recognized revenues of approximately Won 27 billion in 2010, Won 240 billion in 2011 and Won 134 billion in 2012, and net profits of approximately Won 1 billion in 2010, Won 15 billion in 2011 and Won 25 billion in 2012 related to such activities. Sungjin Geotec has completed or terminated all of its remaining outstanding supply contracts to sell equipment for the development of natural gas fields in Iran, and it does not plan to engage in any sale of equipment in Iran related to the country’s development of petroleum resources in the future."

Deep Sea Electronics lists an Iranian partner and distributor, Imen Madan Movaled Company, that offers a wide range of Deep Sea controllers, generators, and maintenance services. Linde Material Handling resumed its activities in Iranian market by granting its exclusive license to an Iranian company called Axon Machine Arina, IRNA reported on Friday. Attended by Linde Material Handling’s Chief Sales Officer Christophe Lautray, the event was celebrated on Thursday in Tehran. “We are here once again and we will continue our activities in Iran both in good and bad times,” Lautray said in the ceremony."" "Germany’s multi-billion euro bilateral trade relationship with Iran continues unabated, even as evidence mounts that the Islamic Republic is determined to build a nuclear weapons capability. The Jerusalem Post has obtained an uncensored list from late 2011, showing hundreds of German and Iranian enterprises in a flourishing trade relationship . . . The list also has an entry from Linde Material Handling GmbH. Linde spokesman Detlef Sieverdingbeck wrote via email that the company delivered roughly 30 forklifts to Iranian customers in 2011, with revenue totaling 800,000 euros. He said that since December, the company has not accepted new orders from Iran because of political conditions.
