UANI Sends Christmas Present to President Ahmadinejad
New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) this Christmas Eve delivered to the Iranian Mission to the United Nations a Christmas present for President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The present, a sleeping bag with President Ahmadinejad's name embroidered at the top, is a thoughtful gift that will come in handy the next time President Ahmadinejad visits the UN and fails to find a hotel that is willing to accommodate him. During President Ahmadinejad's most recent visit to New York in September, three venues: the Helmsley Hotel, Gotham Hall, and The Essex House all refused to accommodate the President of Iran.
UANI Communications Director, Kimmie Lipscomb, said of the gift: "In anticipation of the problems that President Ahmadinejad is likely to have in finding a place to stay during his next visit to New York, UANI sends this personalized sleeping bag. We hope that it will provide a place for him to rest his head at the Iranian Mission."
