UANI
Condemns Siemens for Increasing Its Business in
Iran and Reneging on Its Pledge to End Its Dealings There
New York, New York -United Against Nuclear
Iran (UANI) today renewed
its call for Siemens to end its business in Iran, following reports
that the corporation has seen
"surges" in
revenues there, now at nearly $1 billion annually.
UANI further
called on Siemens to fulfill its pledge to end its business in Iran.
UANI lists Siemens on
the Iran Business Registry
(IBR) for its business dealings in Iran, and has pressured
Siemens through
a number of campaigns to stop such business.
United Against Nuclear
Iran
President, Ambassador Mark Wallace, issued the following statement:
It is simply wrong that Siemens has reneged on its promise to end its
Iran
business. Instead of pulling out of Iran, Siemens has duped
the
international community and increased its business there.
Siemens must live
up to its promises and totally pull
out of Iran. Dozens of other corporations have taken a real stand
against Iran,
and Siemens should do the same. The United States and other
responsible
governments and consumers around the world should refuse to do business
with
Siemens until it makes good on its promises and ends its business in
Iran.

on Siemens to stop its current
business in Iran.
