UANI Applauds House Passage Of Resolution Supporting Iranian Protesters

(New York, N.Y.) — United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) applauds today’s passage of House Concurrent Resolution 7, authored by U.S. Rep. Claudia Tenney (NY). The resolution “commends the bravery, courage, and resolve” of Iranian protesters, supports internet freedom programs to bypass the regime’s censorship, and encourages the Biden administration and the international community to do more to sanction Tehran and help the protesters.

“Today, the House of Representatives rightly told protesters in Iran that it stands with them. We thank Congresswoman Tenney and the resolution’s dozens of bipartisan cosponsors for their work to support Iranians.

“Now it’s time for the Biden administration and other responsible governments to step up economic and political pressure on the Iranian regime. That must include abandoning, finally, the JCPOA and refusing to negotiate with Tehran until it stops detaining and killing innocent Iranians.”
