Iran Seals 150 Businesses In Headscarf Crackdown | Agence France-Presse
Iranian police said on Sunday authorities had closed more than 150 businesses in 24 hours for not respecting the obligation for women to wear headscarves under Iran's strict Islamic dress code. The closures were announced a day after police said they have now implemented a plan to deal with women who violate the law, using surveillance cameras and facial recognition technology.

A new bipartisan caucus in Congress is condemning the Iranian government over the recent poisoning of school girls in the country, amplifying the growing criticism in Washington against the Islamic Republic and its disregard for human rights. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, announced the formation of the Iranian Women Congressional Caucus with the support of nearly 20 Republican and Democratic members of the House.
Millions of schoolgirls are at risk amid ongoing gas attacks deliberately targeting girls’ schools. Iran's authorities have failed to adequately investigate and end the attacks, and dismissed symptoms as “stress,” “excitement,” and/or “mental contagion.”
