"Ali AL-QASI MEHR, in his previous roles as Public Prosecutor of the Revolutionary Court of Shiraz, and Chief Justice of Fars province is an involved person under the Iran (Sanctions) (Human Rights) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 because he is and has been involved in the commission of serious human rights violations in Iran, including being involved in, responsible for, supporting and facilitating conduct that amounts to serious violations of the right to life, and the right not to be subjected to torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, including amputations."1

"Tehran Prosecutor General Ali Alghasi Mehr announced [in mid-December 2022] that 400 detained protesters were assigned prison sentences."2
