Rouhani Accountability Tracker

UANI has been monitoring the day-to-day actions of the Iranian regime to determine if the Iranian regime is changing its dangerous and threatening behavior, particularly in relation to Iran’s nuclear program, human rights abuses, regional destabilization, and relations with the United States. Optimism in some circles has been encouraged by a change in rhetoric and tone from Rouhani and other senior regime figures, but are words being matched by actions?

The Rouhani Accountability Tracker shows that the Iranian President's words diverge sharply from the actions his government has taken. The nuclear program continues to advance, military intervention in Syria and elsewhere goes on unabated, anti-American incitement remains a pillar of the Islamic Republic, and the human rights situation in Iran has deteriorated with a new wave of repression.

UANI has tracked these developments day-to-day in the table below. Since the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear agreement on July 14, 2015, UANI now tracks these developments at its “JCPOA Accountability Tracker.”
