UANI Applauds Russian Bank VTB 24's Closure of Iranian Accounts

New York, NY  - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) President, Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, issued the following statement today regarding reports that VTB 24, a leading bank in Russia, has blocked the accounts of Iranian embassy staff in Moscow:  

UANI applauds VTB 24 for closing the accounts of Iranian embassy staff in Moscow. This is a significant step as part of the international community's drive to impose a banking blockade on Iran.

Responsible countries must comply with the international banking blockade on Iran, and close all of the regime's potential work-arounds. VTB 24's action is a significant and important development.
