UANI Announces New Speakers for May 8 Event Unveiling Iranian Shahed Drone on Capitol Hill

U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Mike Lawler, and Others to Speak

(New York, NY) – On Thursday, May 8, United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) will display the Iranian regime’s Shahed-136 drone—one of the world’s most lethal and widely deployed terror weapons of mass destruction—on Capitol Hill. This unique event comes amid mounting international concern over Iran’s malign drone proliferation.

This exclusive display will be held in the Cannon Caucus Room (Room 390) and Members of Congress and Senators, including U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senator Ted Cruz, Congressman Mike Lawler, and others, will deliver remarks. 

There will also be an expert panel discussion featuring:

• Ambassador Bogdan Klich, Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to the United States and a former Minister of National Defense of Poland
• Norman Roule, UANI Senior Advisor and former U.S. National Intelligence Manager for Iran.
• Jason Brodsky, UANI Policy Director.

More speakers will be announced in the coming days.

Manufactured by entities controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Iran’s Ministry of Defense—both under U.S. and international sanctions—the Shahed-136 has been used by the Islamic Republic and its proxies to terrorize civilians and military targets alike. The drone was responsible for the deadly attack on America’s Tower 22 base in Jordan, which killed three American servicemembers and injured 47 others.
