Invitation: On May 8, UANI to Unveil Iranian Shahed Drone on Capitol Hill

(New York, NY) – On Thursday, May 8, United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) will display the Iranian regime’s Shahed-136 drone—one of the world’s most lethal and widely deployed terror weapons of mass destruction—on Capitol Hill. This unique event comes amid the mounting international concern over Iran’s malign drone proliferation.

This exclusive display will be held in the Cannon Caucus Room (Room 390) and Members of Congress, including U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, will deliver remarks. 

Manufactured by entities controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s Ministry of Defense—both under U.S. and international sanctions—the Shahed-136 has been used by the Islamic Republic and its proxies to terrorize civilians and military targets alike. The drone was responsible for the deadly attack on America’s Tower 22 base in Jordan, which killed three American servicemembers and injured 47 others.
