UANI IN THE NEWS
"The United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) have cited words by an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander as the team left for the United States to tell them to make the tournament a 'war battlefield', after being linked to Hossein Yekta, who had ties to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. . . . A letter from the United Against Nuclear Iran Ambassador Mark Wallace state that they have 'a significant evidence base' that the team has 'integrated itself with sanctioned terrorist leaders and regime propagandists.'"
Written evidence submitted to a UK Parliamentary committee by United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) identifies a network of more than thirty UK-registered entities operating as the Iranian regime’s soft-power and radicalization infrastructure on British soil, including the Islamic Centre of England (which functions as the supreme leader’s official representative office in the UK), the Islamic Students Association of Britain and the Union of Islamic Students Association of Europe (operating from the Kanoon Towhid center in Hammersmith and part of the Al-Tawheed Trust), Labaik Ya Zahra, and the Islamic Human Rights Commission. UANI’s evidence documents that the Islamic Center of England filmed an IRGC-affiliated propaganda anthem designed to radicalize children with British children in 2022, hosted a vigil for Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani in 2020, and consistently propagated extreme antisemitism and Holocaust denial. The Islamic Students Association hosted, in 2024, online sessions with at least eight IRGC commanders, including sanctioned officials, who called on UK-based students to join what they described as an “apocalyptic army.” The Islamic Human Rights Commission’s director has appeared alongside EU-sanctioned IRGC Brigadier General Esmail Kowsari. UANI’s submission documents that more than 50 percent of IRGC training material is dedicated to ideological indoctrination, including explicit incitement to violence against Jews.

Swedish Crime Group Foxtrot Adds Fuel to Iran’s Proxy War in Europe | Soufan Center
“As the threat level emanating from Iran and Iran-backed networks increases amidst escalation between the U.S., Iran, and Israel, Iran-sponsored militias and criminal syndicates are increasingly outsourcing plotted attacks to local gangs and ‘lone wolf’ individuals. This tactic has recently been employed by the Swedish organized crime group ‘Foxtrot,’ through the recruitment of an unaffiliated Norwegian teenager to assassinate an unknown target in the UK. In addition to drug and arms trafficking, there is an extensive history of the Foxtrot group carrying out attacks against Iran-designated adversaries, such as Israeli and Jewish targets, across Europe, with an increasing trend of both utilizing unaffiliated youth to carry out attacks and planning cross-border operations. By adding additional intermediaries, Iran and its proxies not only create an extra layer of insulation between Iran and the crime itself, to complicate accountability and attribution, but also challenge law enforcement and intelligence agencies seeking to determine the responsible actor and interdict these very attacks.”

“U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on Tuesday that ship traffic in the Gulf and oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz are rising even as Washington and Tehran struggle to reach a deal on ending their more than three-month-old war. ‘I would say rising very meaningfully,’ Wright said when asked how ship traffic is flowing through the strait compared to a week or two ago. He said oil exports through the strait and the Gulf have risen and ‘will continue to rise.’ Wright made the remarks during an Atlantic Council conference and added that it would take many months to get back to normal flows of energy and critical materials such as sulfur, helium and lubricants once lasting peace is reached. … Wright said oil has not risen more during the war in part because global inventories, especially in China, were ‘more than we thought.’ He said China's oil imports fell about 4 million barrels per day in May as the country drew down inventories but said that change does not represent price-driven demand destruction.”
