WEF Pulls Davos Invitation from Iran amid Deadly Protests
Washington Examiner
“The Iranian Foreign Minister will not be attending Davos,” the WEF posted on X early Monday morning. “Although he was invited last fall, the tragic loss of lives of civilians in Iran over the past few weeks means that it is not right for the Iranian government to be represented at Davos this year.” The international organization faced calls to pull Iran’s invitation at the last minute. Araghchi was previously scheduled for an interview on Tuesday. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush were among the most vocal figures on the matter after United Against Nuclear Iran asked the WEF to exclude Iran from the summit.
