UANI CEO Mark D. Wallace on New Iran Sanctions

Sinclair Broadcasting Group: "These series of sanctions were designed to punish Iran without using bullets and bombs but going to the heart of their economy," said Mark Wallace, a former Ambassador to the United Nations and now CEO of United Against a Nuclear Iran (UANI). Wallace said any money that flows into Iran almost always winds up in the hands of the wrong people. "The Europeans should stand on principle, and sound policy and say that it’s untenable to keep business options open when you have a country like Iran committing planned terror attacks on your soil. We are saying to businesses across the world, you have a choice to make now. You can go into Iran, but then you are subject to American adopted sanctions which say that you cannot have access to the American economy, the American markets and the American financial system."
