UANI Celebrates Claire Jungman and Her Move to Private Sector and Announces New Tanker Tracking Team Head, Charlie Brown

(New York, NY) – United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace released the following statement today announcing the move of Claire Jungman, UANI’s Chief of Staff and Director of its Iran Tanker Tracking Program, to the private sector, and the promotion of Charlie Brown to head the program:

“Today, as the Iranian regime is facing existential challenges, we pause to celebrate a longtime member of our UANI family. Claire Jungman started with us right out of school and quickly rose to make UANI’s shipping program the world’s best. She and her ship-tracking colleagues became renowned throughout the world, tracking Iran’s Ghost Fleet of oil-smuggling vessels. After over a decade, Claire has earned a respite from the daily game of whack-a-mole with the Iranian regime and has fulfilled a longtime ambition to work in the shipping industry. She has become part of our family, and I and our entire team are proud of her.

“Claire will assume a new role as Director of Maritime Risk and Intelligence at Vortexa. Claire, we wish you the best, and thank you for working with us all these years. Keep your keen eye out for those ghost ships, rogue flags, colorful owners, and crews.

“UANI’s Iran Tanker Tracking Program team is deep and strong. It will now be led by Charlie Brown, a longstanding advisor to us, with support from Research Director Daniel Roth. Charlie previously served as Maritime Domain Awareness Advisor to the U.S. Pacific Fleet and as Plans Officer with the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command in Singapore. Charlie, Dan, and their colleagues will continue UANI’s critical work in this area.”
