The Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed three Arqab cruise missile attacks targeting unspecified locations in Israel on October 1.

Two vessels sustained damage after being hit with missiles and a sea drone off Yemen's Red Sea port of Hodeidah early on Tuesday, maritime security agencies and sources monitoring the area said. Both vessels reported that their crews were safe. One of the vessels, the Panama-flagged tanker M/T Cordelia Moon, reported being hit by an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) 64 nautical miles northwest of Hodeidah, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency said. The second vessel, which sources said was a Liberia-flagged bulker, sustained damage after it was hit by a missile about 97 nautical miles northwest of Hodeidah, Ambrey and maritime security sources said. The firm said it was bound for Suez.

Yemen's Houthi rebels have released footage showing them boarding a tanker and setting off explosives, putting the Red Sea at risk of a major oil spill. The tanker's crew, of 25 people from the Philippines and Russia and four private security workers, had been rescued by a French destroyer operating in the area, but concerns remained for the million or so barrels of oil on board. Western countries and the United Nations have warned any oil spill from the tanker could devastate the coral reefs and wildlife around the Red Sea.

Lebanese Hezbollah conducted a drone and rocket attack on Israel on August 24 in response to Israel killing a senior Hezbollah commander, Fuad Shukr. Hezbollah fired 200-300 projectiles, including around 20 one-way attack drones, in two waves into Israel. Hezbollah fired rockets at 11 Israel Defense Forces (IDF) sites in northern Israel in the first wave of its attack. These sites included a prominent IDF air defense and communications site on Mount Meron, which Hezbollah has targeted repeatedly since October 2023. Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said that the rockets were meant to distract Israeli air defenses and enable the second wave to penetrate deeper into Israel. The second wave involved firing one-way attack drones targeting Ein Shemer base in Hadera and Glilot Base north of Tel Aviv. This tactic of using imprecise and indirect fire to distract air defenses and then using precision weapons to strike targets has become common across Iran and its Axis of Resistance in recent years. Ein Shemer base hosts major IDF air defense assets, while Glilot base has signals intelligence functions. The IDF stated that it intercepted some of the Hezbollah rocket fire in northern Israel and that Hezbollah failed to strike the bases in central Israel. The IDF also reported that an IDF Navy member was killed in the Hezbollah attack.

Lebanese Hezbollah claimed that it fired a barrage of Katyusha rockets targeting Eilon, Israel.

US troops in northeastern Syria were attacked by a drone, although there were no injuries according to initial reports. "Initial reports do not indicate any injuries, however medical evaluations are ongoing. We are currently conducting a damage assessment," the US official said on the condition of anonymity about the attack in Syria. The attack took place at Rumalyn Landing Zone, which hosts US troops along with those from the US-led coalition.

The Houthis launched “a number of missiles” at the Liberian-flagged Contship Ono merchant cargo ship set for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea claimed that Houthis targeted two US destroyers and one merchant vessel in a speech on August 7. The Houthis claimed that its fighters hit the USS Cole and the USS Laboon with an unspecified number of drones and ballistic missiles.

An Israeli military correspondent reported that the drones flew in Israeli territory for about 12 miles and over 10 minutes before striking Nahariya. The IDF announced it will investigate this incident.

Seven US personnel were injured when two rockets hit Al Asad Airbase in Iraq, a defense official said. “Five US servicemembers and two US contractors were injured in the attack. Five injured personnel are receiving care at Al Asad Airbase and two have been evacuated for further care,” the official said. “All seven injured personnel are in stable condition.”

Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Friday claimed responsibility for a deadly drone blast in Tel Aviv, the Iranian proxy group’s latest attack in what it says is a response to Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. The explosion in a central district home to a number of diplomatic missions, including a US Embassy branch office, killed a 50-year-old man and injured at least 10 others, according to Israeli emergency officials and police.
