Over the last three presidential administrations, the United States government has granted Philips Electronics 35 special licenses to do business in Iran. (New York Times, "Companies with Permission to Bypass Sanctions," 12/24/10)

"Philips Electronics received a license to sell some sort of medical devices to Iran, the exact nature of which was redacted by OFAC. The division of the company mentioned in the paperwork suggested that the product sold was some sort of ultrasound equipment. OFAC also redacted the names of the Iranian buyers."
