Bids auto

In 2012, UANI launched its Auto Campaign to highlight the activities of multinational auto manufacturers in Iran. Auto-manufacturing is a central component of Iran’s industrial sector and is dominated by the regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The IRGC is notorious for misusing vehicles imported or license-built for a number of nefarious purposes including to stage executions and facilitate the activities of its militia and internal security forces.

UANI has proposed legislation requiring automakers that receive federal government contracts to certify with the U.S. Department of Transportation that they are not engaged in business in Iran, either directly or through a foreign subsidiary or affiliate, or engaged in the implementation of any agreement with Iranian entities. Click here to read UANI Automobile Legislation, DRIVE Act of 2012
