UANI director of outreach and human rights research Alan Goldsmith writes: "There are few places more dangerous for female human rights activists than Iran. The Iranian regime is engaged in a systematic war on women, a war best known because of Tehran’s persecution, and even killing, of women who refuse to wear the mandatory head scarf or hijab. Nonetheless, in the face of the regime’s repression, brave women continue to demand their rights and freedoms and call for the end of the Islamic Republic — and their stories must be told. One of those women is Fatemeh Sepehri."
