S"Our subsidiary, Telkomsel, is party to international roaming agreements with Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran and Irancell Telecommunications Services Company, which are or may be government-controlled entities. In 2017, we recorded gross revenues of US$56,692 from total transactions (inbound and outbound) under these agreements. The amount of our net profits earned under these agreements is not determinable, but it does not exceed our gross revenues from these agreements. As stated in its 2017 SEC disclosure: "During the quarter ended December 31, 2017, Microsoft provided software services to a person or entity identified under section 560.304 of title 31, Code of Federal Regulations. The services constituted a cloud-based spam and malware filtering service and the cloud-based provision of Office 365 software services provided to two entities associated with the Iranian bank, Bank Sepah – Bank Sepah International PLC and Banque Sepah, respectively. For the former, an annual service fee equivalent to $600 was charged for a one-year period beginning in February 2017, and for the latter, use rights were charged at a price equivalent to approximately $55 per month from September 2016 through November 2017, totaling $770. Microsoft has ceased providing these software services to these entities and has no intention of doing so in the future."

"Iran’s social media has been falling over itself in the past week over reports about Microsoft’s quiet but real entry into the Iranian technology sector. The twitter account for Shargh newspaper’s Sobhan Hassanvand was first to clock the American giant as having a base in Iran on Monday night (Dec. 15). Hassanvand showed a picture of a building on Bucharest Avenue in central Tehran with a giant Microsoft sticker on the window, with the quote “@Microsoft office in #Iran.” (January 2015)

Our business with Iran represented approximately 0.03% of our revenues for the year ended December 31, 2016. In February 2017, we established a local branch through our subsidiary, LINE PLAY Corporation. Our subsidiary, LINE Plus Corporation, has met with officials from the Government of Iran in conjunction with our business expansion efforts in Iran. In January 2017, LINE Plus Corporation entered into a two month research contract with the Iran Telecommunication Research Center (ITRC). The purpose of the research contract was for LINE to explore business opportunities in Iran and gain a better understanding of the Iranian mobile market and relevant regulatory considerations. DWT GmbH (“DWT”) reportedly agreed to exhibit at the 22nd International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition (the “Exhibition”) that is taking place in Tehran on May 6-9, 2017.

We need to see how the currently extremely difficult and highly critical situation evolves inside Iran…. A country undergoing internal upheaval presents a complicated situation that can jeopardise such accords [contracts between Italian and Iranian companies] …. In July 2016, Confindustria organized, in partnership with the Chambers of Commerce of the Marche Region and the universities of Camerino and Macerata, an economic mission to Iran led by Marche region President Luca Ceriscioli with approximately 50 businesses of the Marche Region. Pleased with recovery on the horizon is also Flavio Marabelli, honorary president of Confindustria Marmomacchine, which has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Iran Stone Association. The agreement is based on consolidated relations in a country that - he stressed - holds a great deal of interest both for its marble and granite resources and as a consumer of these materials in construction. "We are here to discuss operating projects," Marabelli said. "And we plan on returning between January and February." (December 1, 2015).
