UANI Welcomes Governor Jeb Bush as its New Chairman
(New York, NY) – Today, United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace announced that Governor Jeb Bush has become the new chairman of UANI. Governor Bush, who has been a member of UANI’s advisory board, is the former governor of Florida. He succeeds the late U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, who served as chairman of UANI from 2015 until his untimely death in March 2024.
UANI CEO Ambassador Wallace said,
“I would like to welcome my longtime friend, Governor Jeb Bush as the new chairman of UANI. Governor Bush is a preeminent thought leader on U.S. public policy, and nowhere do we need more innovative solutions than in tackling the threat from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Governor Bush is respected across the aisle and is a fitting successor to Senator Lieberman.”
UANI Chairman Governor Bush said,
“I am excited to join UANI as chairman. UANI is engaged in groundbreaking campaigns aimed at isolating Iran’s regime while empowering its people. It has also emerged as the leading engine for economic warfare against the Islamic Republic.
“The Islamic Republic is a threat not only to the United States but also to the brave Iranian people. They deserve better than repressive rulers and U.S. leadership that has been adrift. Getting U.S. Iran policy right requires a bipartisan approach—bridging divides between Democrats and Republicans. It will be the only way for the United States to form a durable and long-term strategy. I hope to contribute to this effort at UANI and to build on Senator Lieberman’s important work as chairman.”
