DMG Mori AG was removed from consideration in the CalPERS 2020 California Public Divest From Iran Act report due to lack of stock holdings. The company was removed under government code 7513.7 (Iran Act).

"DMG Mori AG LTD has been identified as selling automation and production machinery in Iran. In 2017, CalSTRS designated DMG Mori AG LTD as “Under Review” for potentially having ties to Iran. CalSTRS maintained the “Under Review” status in 2018. In 2019, CalSTRS designated DMG Mori AG LTD as “Being Monitored.” CalSTRS has maintained the “Being Monitored” status in 2020."

In 2017, the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (“CalSTRS”), designated DMG Mori as “Under Review” for selling automation and production machinery in Iran and maintained that designation in 2018. In 2018, the California State Public Employees Retirement System (“CalPERs”) designated DMG Mori as Under review. In 2019, CalSTRS and CalPERS designated DMG Mori As “Being Monitored” because CalPERS’ “initial screening has not identified the company as having involvement in the [activities] targeted by the [2019 California Public Divest from Iran] Act.
