The countries then will start to jointly build the aircraft next year, Sirati, whose company will be in charge of the project, said in Tehran yesterday. SPG Steiner
SPG is a German engineering firm that designs components for the oil and gas industry, covering production, processing, storage, and distribution (Company Website).
SPG's website details a 2010 installation of three components in Iran's Bandar Imam Khomeini Petrochemical Complex.
In July 2008, the German Federal Office for Economics and Export Control (BAFA) concluded its year-long investigation into German engineering firm Steiner-Prematechnik-Gastec's plans to build equipment for three Iranian liquefied natural gas plants, according to The Jerusalem Post. A German government spokesman stated, "Because the equipment would be built here and then sent to Iran that work does not fall under any existing sanctions involving Iran." However, The Jerusalem Post later reported that the deal created tension between the German and Israeli governments.

Siirtec Nigi
Siirtec Nigi is an Italian engineering firm specializing in sulphur recovery, acid gas removal, oil and gas processing, and environmental cleanup (Company Website).
The Italian engineering and contracting company, Siirtec Nigi has been awarded several contracts to help develop Iran's energy sector. According to the company's website, Siirtec Nigi received a contract from Italian trading and supply firm Irasco S.r.l. in August 2007 to supply the engineering, procurement and fabrication of various technological units at Iran's Kharg Island.
According to Siirtec Nigi's website, ENI awarded the company two separate contracts for equipment for Iran's Darquain oil field.
Sandvik
Sandvik is a Swedish engineering firm specializing in tooling, materials technology, mining, and construction (Company Website).
An industry publication reported that in March 2010, Sandvik subsidiary Sandvik Process Systems, announced that it would be supplying the sulfur solidification and handling technology for the Pars Oil & Gas Company (POGC). The order is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2010 and is the third such deal Sandvik has secured. The latest order includes the company's Rotoform-based granulation technology and other equipment.
A Sandvik brochure obtained on the company's website features pictures of past mining and construction projects in Iran.
FEV
FEV is a Germany-based global supplier of engine, powertrain, and instrumentation systems.
According to an industry publication, FEV designed and developed a new dual-fuel compressed natural gas engine in Iran. FEV Motorentechnik GmbH lists a representative office in Tehran on its website.
FEV has received $130 million in US government contracts over the past decade, including $16 million from the Department of Defense.
Cemp International
Cemp International is an Italian engineering firm that manufactures industrial motors designed for application in the energy industry.
The firm lists a Tehran engineering company, Norahan Tadbir Toos Eng. Co., as providing sales, distribution, and repair services for Cemp in Iran. It also lists an additional firm in Mashad as providing repair services.
Cemp International does business in the United States through its Canadian subsidiary, Lafert Metricmotors.
Danaher Corporation
- Danaher Corporation is a major American manufacturing company with revenues of $12.7 billion as of 2008. Danaher manufactures tools and products for industrial, medical, engineering, and other high-tech applications (Company Website). One of its largest foreign subsidiaries, Linx Printing Technologies, has distribution in Iran, and products from two of its US subsidiaries, Tektronix and Fluke Corporation, are available for sale in Iran through the website of the Iranian company "Test Iran."
- Linx's Iranian distributor, Karyaran Pars Engineering Company, Ltd., “is the exclusive representative of Linx Printing Technologies, PLC,” in Iran, dealing in the sale, supply and technical support of ink-jet printers. The website also states that the company supports more than 1000 Linx machines it has installed in the country. Some of Karyaran's clientele include Pars Oil Co., Behran Oil Co., Bandar Imam Petroleum Co. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the state-owned National Iranian Petroleum Company - NPC), and Razi Chemical Co. - “Test Iran” offers three types of Tektronix oscilloscope models (2215, TDS2024, 475) as well as a Tektronix TDS2CMAX Communication Module (Test Iran website). Notably, Tektronix has a strong relationship with the U.S. government (Tektronix website). For example, in August 2009, Tektronix won a $10.8 million contract to manufacture “5,000 oscilloscopes to support the US Navy’s general purpose electronic test equipment (GPETE) weapons system” (Defense Industry Daily. “Tektronix to Supply 5,000 Oscilloscopes for US Navy Test Equipment,” 8/29/10). Problematically, Tektronix oscilloscopes were used in the development of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear weapons program in the 1980s and 1990s. In one example, Gary Milhollin, a UANI board member, notes in a 1992 New York Times article that Tektronix high-speed oscilloscopes, “needed to develop firing circuits for nuclear weapons and for nuclear tests,” were previously sold to Iraq (Gary Milhollin, “Building Saddam Hussein’s Bomb,” The New York Times,” 3/8/92). In 1991, two Iranian citizens were arrested in the US for selling unlicensed portable oscilloscopes to Iran.
- “Test Iran” sells several Fluke products, including multimeters, ampere meters, calibration equipment and an oscilloscope model, the Fluke 190 Series Portable Color Digital Scopemeter (Test Iran website). In 2006 it was reported that Iran had purchased dual use goods, such as Fluke Corporation equipment, through a Turkish trading firm (WMD Insights. “Iran exploited Turkish trading firm to produce dual-use goods from Western European, U.S. companies,” July/August 2006). Notably, Fluke has extensive business relations with the U.S. government. U.S. federal government customers include the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Department of the Treasury, Homeland Security, Department of Defense, White House and many other major U.S. federal governmental institutions. Fluke also works with all 50 state government, over 400 country governments and over 250 city governments (Fluke Networks website, “Government Solutions”).
