UANI: Newest Polling Shows Growing Desire for Congress to Reject Iran Deal
"Our Elected Representatives Should Listen and Reject This Unworkable Deal"

New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) issued the following statement today following the release of new polling that shows a growing majority of Americans oppose the nuclear agreement with Iran. According to a CNN/ORC poll released today, "56% of Americans now say they think Congress should reject the deal with Iran-up from 52% less than a month ago... And 6-in-10 Americans also disapprove of President Barack Obama's handling of the U.S. relationship with Iran."

"Polling is consistently showing that as Americans focus their attention on the details of the agreement with Iran, the less they like it," said UANI CEO Mark D. Wallace, a former U.S. ambassador to the U.N., and UANI Chairman Joseph I. Lieberman, former U.S. senator from Connecticut. "Americans clearly do not trust Tehran and they don't support an agreement that's built on trusting Tehran. Our elected representatives should listen to their constituents and reject this unworkable deal."

UANI, a not for profit, non-partisan advocacy organization founded in 2008, is conducting a multi-tiered, multi-million-dollar national campaign to educate Americans about the serious shortcomings of the Iran nuclear agreement, which Congress will vote on in September.

Its newest television ad, entitled "Trust," released earlier this week, focuses on the weakness of the agreement's inspection regime, which prevents international inspectors from quickly gaining access to any suspected nuclear facility in Iran. This is a critical gap in being able to ensure compliance.

The "Trust" television ad can be viewed here.
