UANI Issues Statement in Response to Criticism by Iranian Regime Officials

New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) CEO, Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, issued the following statement today regarding recent statements made by the Iranian regime's spokesperson and state-run press about UANI:

Four years and five months have passed since President Obama extended a hand of diplomacy to the regime in Iran. In response, the regime has completely rejected that hand of peace, and instead offered terror attacks, brutal human rights abuses, sanctions violations, and the continued development of its illicit nuclear program.

The Iranian regime has only itself to blame for the isolation and economic troubles it now faces. If Iran wants to be treated as a reputable member of the international community, then it should start acting like one. Until then, UANI and others will continue to shine a light on Iran's illegal smuggling activities, and keep pressuring companies, countries, and others that irresponsibly do business with the regime.
