UANI Announces Bicycle Billboards at Warwick Hotel, Starting Today

Billboard: "WARWICK: PREFERRED HOTEL OF IRANIAN DICTATORS: BOYCOTT THE WARWICK; VISIT UANI.COM"

New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) announced today that it is currently protesting Warwick Hotel guest Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with bicycle billboards circling around the hotel. UANI's protests were previewed in today's New York Post.

UANI cyclists are pulling billboards around the Warwick, today through Wednesday. Cyclists are riding continuously near 54th St. and 6th Ave., wearing UANI shirts and pulling billboards that read "WARWICK: PREFERRED HOTEL OF IRANIAN DICTATORS: BOYCOTT THE WARWICK; VISIT UANI.COM"

Said UANI Executive Director, David Ibsen:

New Yorkers are justifiably angry about the Warwick's decision to host Ahmadinejad. New York City venues that are dependent on the patronage of Americans and the protection of the NYPD, should not be hosting an individual who calls 9/11 a "big lie" and leads a regime that has killed hundreds of American troops and sponsors terrorism worldwide.

Ahmadinejad and the Iranian delegation should be forced to stay in the Iranian Mission to the UN. The Warwick is putting profit ahead of principle, but it will eventually pay with bad publicity and lost business.

UANI will host a street demonstration outside the Warwick on Monday at 2:00 PM, and be at the Warwick throughout the week with signs, props, chants, and an activity center open to public participation.

Yesterday, UANI announced the launch of a Times Square billboard to coincide with President Ahmadinejad's visit.
