Following Ahmadinejad's Address to UN, UANI Calls on International Community to Impose Economic Blockade on Iran
New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) CEO, Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, issued the following statement today regarding Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's remarks to the UN:
Walkouts and no shows are symbolic and fine, but we have seen Ahmadinejad's theater year after year as Iran continues its quest for a nuclear weapon.
Boycotting his speech, while completely appropriate, will not slow Iran's nuclear program. A full U.S.-led economic blockade of Iran -- in addition to military planning, covert operations, and last gasp chances at diplomacy -- just might. Anything less is an absolute failure of global leadership.
