Bloomberg reported that “The U.S. Senate voted to punish companies that sell gasoline to Iran by prohibiting them from supplying the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The measure passed yesterday as an amendment to the Energy and Water Development Appropriations Bill. The Senate agreed by unanimous consent to the amendment, sponsored by Republican Senators Jon Kyl of Arizona and Susan Collins of Maine, according to the Library of Congress Web site.
