Iranian press reported that President Ahmadinejad will present the budget for the upcomming year to the Majlis. "Hamid-Reza Haji-Babaie, a member of Majlis presiding board told IRNA that while submitting the bill, the president will brief the parliamentarians on general outlines of the document. AP reported that former German chancelor Schroeder is going to Iran in February to "help raise pressure on the oil-producing country to abandon its nuclear program, the German foreign ministry said today. 'The nuclear dossier will play an important role' in Schroeder's visit, Foreign Ministry spokesman Jens Ploetner said at a regular government press conference in Berlin. Schroeder will 'amplify and underline' the government's position on Iran's nuclear program. German companies doing business with Iran should show 'voluntary restraint' even in business areas that aren't covered by sanctions, deputy government spokesman Thomas Steg told the press conference." AP reported that "An Iranian-born man faces up to five years in federal prison for conspiring to violate a U.S. embargo by providing Iran with military aircraft parts. Hassan Keshari pleaded guilty Monday to a single count in Miami federal court. Prosecutors say Keshari, a 48-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen who was living in California, was a middleman between Iranian buyers and a supplier based in South Florida." Read More
